Course Overview


The Qualification has been created to develop and reward the health and social care workers of today and the future, and to continue to bring recognition and professionalism to the health and social care sector. The rationale of the programmes is to provide a career path for learners who wish to develop their management and care capabilities within the health and social care sector. It is also ideal for those who have started, or are planning to move into, a career in the private or public sector.


Step directly into the year two or the final year of a Management and Leadership in Health and Social Care BSc (Hons) degree, offered by Anglia Ruskin University, after completing the Qualifi Level 4 & 5 Diplomas respectively.

  • Communication for Health and Social Care (20 credits)
  • An Introduction to Healthcare Policy (20 credits)
  • Reflective Practice (20 credits)
  • Managing People in Health and Social Care (20 credits)
  • Sociology Concepts in Health and Ill Health (20 credits)


Entry requirements

For entry onto the QUALIFI Level 4 Diploma in Health and Social Care qualification, learners must possess:

  • Relevant NQF/QCF/RQF Level 3 diploma in Health and Social Care or any other equivalent recognised qualification to begin at level 4. Level 4 Diploma in Health and Social Care is a pre-requisite to advance into the level 5 Diploma.
  • Industry experience for at least three years may apply

Equivalences

QUALIFI qualifications at RQF Levels 4 represent practical knowledge, skills, capabilities and competences that are assessed in academic terms as being equivalent to programmes at the level of years 1 and 2 of a three year Bachelor’s Degree in the UK.

Delivery:

The qualification is delivered via Instructor-Led live presentations and tutorials to guide your online distance learning.

Assessment and verification

All units within this qualification are internally assessed by assessors and verifiers at the Caribbean Polytechnic Institute and externally verified by QUALIFI. The qualifications are criterion referenced, based on the achievement of all the specified learning outcomes.

To achieve a ‘pass’ for a unit, learners must provide evidence to demonstrate that they have fulfilled all the learning outcomes and meet the standards specified by all assessment criteria. Judgement that the learners have successfully fulfilled the assessment criteria is made by the Assessor.
